1 December 2015 – The UN in Ukraine expresses its concern related to the recent developments within the All-Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV.

Considering the important role played by the Network in the implementation of the national programmes of HIV and TB treatment, care and support, funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and other national and international donors, as well as the critical importance of these programmes - which, in many cases, provide life-saving treatment and care services to people that have no other means of accessing them - the UN stresses the importance of ensuring continuity in provision of uninterrupted care and services to the most vulnerable populations and observance of patients’ rights to access quality care and services.

The UN remains committed to provide required support to successful implementation of HIV and TB related programmes in Ukraine for the sake of patients and rights of most vulnerable and underlines the importance of uninterrupted implementation of these programmes.
