27 February 2017 - The United Nations produced a brochure on the composition and activities of the United Nations Eastern Team.

Between July and September 2016 oblast consultations on adaptation and localization of SDGs were held in Ukraine, aiming to determine priority Goals and ways to achieve them. This initiative brought together voices from all around the country.

15 September 2017 - The ‘Sustainable Development Goals: Ukraine’ national report provides the baseline and benchmarks for Ukraine to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) approved by the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Summit 2015.

To commemorate the UN 70th Anniversary, the United Nations in Ukraine published an information package to highlight the partnership and cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the United Nations.

The United Nations has a tradition of enlisting the volunteer services and support of prominent individuals from the worlds of art, sport, literature and entertainment to highlight priority issues and to draw attention to its activities. A number of Secretariat units and separately funded and administered Funds and Programmes of the United Nations (hereinafter referred to as the “Funds and Programmes”) have designated such individuals as Goodwill Ambassadors.

Ukraine has taken the key international commitments on gender equality including Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW, 1980) and its Optional Protocol, Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (1995), and adopted national legislative and policy framework on gender equality, including the State Programme on ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men (till 2016) and the National Action Plan “Women, Peace and Security” (2016) to implement UN Security Resolution 1325.
